NorthScape to Benefit The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Celebrate North Ave. with Music, Street Performers and Food.

Baltimore, Maryland (June 26. 2009) – A benefit for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation called NorthScape will be held Saturday, July 18th from noon to 1 a.m. at the corner of North and Charles to coincide with ArtScape. The event, featuring non-stop music, performers, food and beer, is free with a suggested donation of $5 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation which seeks a cure and helps improve the quality of life for those with the disease.

“Once people are done having fun at ArtScape, we want them to walk across the bridge to support this really important cause. NorthScape is a carnival for every member of the family, and a great opportunity to do good while having fun,” said Joe Edwardsen, owner of Joe Squared who is helping to produce and sponsor the first-time event

Six performance areas will feature music acts, fire dancers, clowns, jugglers, stilt walkers, contortionists, visual artists and more. All the performers have donated their time in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. There will also be a misting tent to help beat the summer heat along with food and beer vendors who will also be donating a significant part of their proceeds to help the cause.

Performers on the large stage will include: Soul Cannon, Kathy McCleod, Caleb and Saleem, Reina Williams, The Bellevederes, Loop and Lil, Charlie Sayles, Karter Jaymes, Nerftones, Il Culo, Mobtelevision, Greggy Glitterati’s Varity Cavalcade, Claire Hux, Telesma, DJ Knowledge, Yeveto, DJ, Knowledge, Segway and Al Zaruba.

Sponsors include Mid-Atlantic Drum, The Herbert Bearman Foundation, The Station North Arts and Entertainment District, Heineken, Joe Squared, Wachovia Securities, and Yes Web Design.
